Slim Linear LED Exterior Wall Sconce
An exterior wall sconce reduced to a single upright bar, with a narrow lit strip running its full length and a powder-coated aluminium body around it. Because the light comes from a continuous line rather than a point, it washes the wall behind it evenly instead of dropping a bright pool on the ground. The IP65 rating covers rain from any direction, and a remote handles dimming and three colour settings without touching the fixture. Seven heights are offered, from a modest 16 inches up to 96 inches.

Most exterior lights are designed to be looked at. This one is designed to make the wall look good, which is a different problem. A slim continuous strip grazes the surface it is mounted on, picking up the texture of render, stone or timber cladding as it goes. The fixture itself almost disappears at night and only the lit line remains, which is why the shape suits modern facades so well.
Wall Washing Versus Spot Lighting Outdoors
A conventional exterior sconce throws light from a single point, so you get a bright circle and a sharp falloff. That is useful directly over a door and much less useful along a blank stretch of wall, where it reads as a series of unrelated hot spots. A linear fixture spreads the same output over its whole length and gives you an even band instead.
The practical consequence is that you need fewer of them. One tall unit on a long wall does what three round sconces would do, and it does it without the scalloped pattern that evenly spaced spots always produce. On a narrow pier between windows or beside a front door, a vertical bar also echoes the proportions of the opening rather than fighting them.
What the IP65 Rating Actually Covers
IP65 is two separate numbers. The 6 is the dust rating and it is the top of the scale, meaning nothing gets into the housing at all. The 5 is the water rating and it covers low pressure jets from any direction, which in practice means driven rain, run-off from a wall above and a hose during cleaning.
What it does not cover is immersion. This is a wall fitting, not something to set into a step where water pools, and not something for a position that floods. On an exposed elevation the rating matters more than the styling, because a fitting that lets water into the driver fails within a season regardless of how good it looked on day one.
Choosing a Height and Using the Remote
Seven heights span 16 to 96 inches, which is a wide enough spread to change what the fixture is for. The shorter units behave like a conventional sconce and pair either side of a door. The 60 inch and above units become an architectural element in their own right, better suited to a double-height entrance or a long courtyard wall where a small fitting would vanish.
The remote covers dimming and three colour settings. Being able to set colour after installation is worth more outdoors than indoors, because you cannot judge how a temperature reads against stone or render until it is dark and the fitting is on the wall. Warm suits brick and timber, cooler settings suit grey render and metal cladding.
