Two wood tones are offered. The walnut reads dark and warm against a pale wall. The lighter tone almost disappears against oak or birch.

Wood grain differs from piece to piece. Two sconces from the same batch will not match exactly, which is normal for a solid timber shade.

Fit it at about shoulder height beside a bed. That puts the bar below eye level when you are sitting up, so you never look into it.
