LED Bathroom Vanity Light Fixtures in Wood and Acrylic
A bathroom mirror needs light across your whole face, not a spot on the top of your head. A long bar over the mirror does that. This one has a strip of natural wood set into a white acrylic body, so it looks like furniture rather than a fitting. The LED is built in and shines through the acrylic, which spreads it evenly with no bright points. Pick a gentle curve or a straight bar, in 15.5 in, 23.5 in or 31.5 in. It hardwires in.

Vanity lighting has one job that nothing else does. It has to light a face evenly enough to shave or put on makeup by. Ceiling lights fail at this because they come from above and drop shadow into the eyes and under the chin. A wide bar mounted at eye level or just above solves it. The longer the bar, the more even the result, which is why these come in three lengths.
Curved or Straight, and Why It Matters
The straight bar is 2.5 in high. The wood sits on top and the light comes out of a slim acrylic strip along the bottom edge. It is the quieter of the two and reads as a plain modern line above a mirror.
The curved version is 4 in high and the wood is set inside the acrylic as a shape with a slight bow to it. More of the fixture glows, so it puts out a wider band of light. It is the one to pick if the fixture is going to be looked at as well as looked by. Both come in the same three lengths.
Matching the Length to the Mirror
The usual guide is that the fixture should be around three quarters the width of the mirror. A 20 in round mirror takes the 15.5 in. A standard 30 in vanity mirror takes the 23.5 in. A wide double vanity takes the 31.5 in.
Going too short is the common mistake. A short bar over a wide mirror lights the middle and leaves the edges dim, which is exactly the shadow problem you were trying to fix. If you are between two sizes, take the longer one.
Height matters too. Mount the bar so the light sits a little above eye level, roughly 75 to 80 in from the floor for most people. Too high and you are back to shadows under the eyes.
The Built In LED and Fitting
There is no bulb and no socket. The LED is part of the fixture and the acrylic is the diffuser. That is what makes the light so even across the length of the bar. It also means the fixture cannot be re lamped when the LED eventually fails.
The unit is hardwired, so it needs a junction box behind the mounting point. Mount it above the mirror, or above and to the side if the mirror is tall. It is rated for 110V-120V as well as 220V-240V, so it suits a US circuit, and it weighs about 3.5 lb. Check your local rules on wiring in a bathroom before fitting anything yourself.
