Gold Globe Wall Sconce Opal Glass Scalloped Backplate

Most globe sconces put the sphere on a plain disc and let the glass do everything. This one cuts the edge of the backplate into a scallop, which changes the whole fixture. Beside a bed, mounting it slightly above shoulder height when seated puts the globe out of direct eyeline while still lighting the page. In a hallway a pair or a run at consistent height reads better than a single fixture.
