Cordless Figurine Table Lamp with Touch Dimming and USB-C Charging

Most small lamps try to disappear. This one does the opposite. It is a little chrome or gold figure standing under a lamp shade, holding it up like an umbrella. The shade throws a warm pool of light down over the figure and onto the surface below. There is no cord to hide, so you can move it from a desk to a windowsill to a dinner table. It is an ornament that happens to work as a lamp.

Cordless, and What That Changes

The battery runs the lamp for eight to ten hours on a full charge. That covers several evenings of normal use.

Charging is over USB-C from the base. Any phone charger, laptop or power bank will do it.

With no cord you are not tied to a socket. The lamp works on a dinner table, a bathroom shelf or on a warm evening outside.

It is small and light at 1.8 lb, so carrying it from room to room is easy and nothing needs unplugging first.

The shade is fixed to the figure and does not tilt. Light goes down and outward from under the rim. That gives a small warm pool around the base rather than a beam across a room.

Touch Control and Dimming

A tap on the base switches the lamp on and off. There is no switch to find in the dark.

Holding your finger on the base runs the brightness up and down. Let go at the level you want.

At the lowest setting it works as a night light. At full brightness it is enough to read a menu or a book by.

The LED is warm white at 3000K. That suits an evening room and keeps the metallic finish looking gold rather than grey.

Finishes and the Five Poses

Two finishes are offered. Gold is warm and reads brass like under the light. Silver is a bright chrome.

Five poses are offered and the figure changes between them. One sits with its legs out. One stands upright. One folds its arms. One stands to attention. One crouches with its knees up.

The shade is the same on all five. Only the figure below it changes, so the light itself is identical whichever you pick.

Collected in twos or threes on a shelf they read as a set. Bought singly, one on a nightstand is enough to change the character of the room.

Handle the finish with clean hands. It is a mirror surface, so fingerprints show on gold and silver alike. A dry microfibre cloth takes them off without marking it.
