The dish on top is not decoration. It faces the LED upward into a shallow reflector so that everything reaching the table has bounced once, which removes the hotspot you get from a bare diode and the hard shadow that comes with it. The result is a soft pool of light directly under the lamp, which is exactly what a bedside or a dining table wants after dark.

Stepless Dimming from a Single Touch Point

Most portable lamps offer three fixed brightness steps. This one dims steplessly: hold the top of the dish for two to three seconds and the output slides continuously, so you can stop anywhere rather than accepting the nearest preset. Tapping instead of holding cycles the colour temperature.

Three temperatures are offered at 3000K, 4500K and 6000K. The warm end suits a bedside and a dinner table, the neutral middle is the most useful for reading, and the cool end is closest to daylight for close work. A colour rendering index above 90 keeps skin tones and food looking correct.

Cordless Running and USB-C Charging

The battery charges over USB-C on the underside of the base, which means the same cable that charges a phone or a laptop will run the lamp. There is no proprietary dock to keep track of and no transformer block sitting on the floor, and a power bank will run it just as well as a wall socket when the lamp is taken outside.

At 3W and 300 lumens this is ambient and task light for one person rather than room lighting, covering roughly 32 to 108 square feet. Cordless running is what makes it useful on a restaurant table, a balcony or a shelf with no socket nearby, and multi packs cover a set of tables.

Finish Options and Build

Gold, silver and black are offered, and the finish covers the whole lamp rather than just the base. Gold reads warmest and is the finish shown in most of the images here; black recedes against a dark interior; silver sits between the two and is the most neutral against stainless and glass.

The body is aluminium rather than plastic, which gives the base enough weight to resist a knock and helps move heat away from the LED. At 11 inches tall on a 5.1 inch footprint it takes very little surface area for the amount of light it puts on the table. The acrylic diffuser sits flush inside the dish rather than protruding, so there is no lip to catch dust and nothing to unclip when the lamp needs wiping down.
