LED Wall Sconce Built Around an Open Metal Ring
This LED wall sconce hangs a small cylinder spot inside an open metal ring. The ring does no lighting at all. It is there to give the fixture an outline, so a single spot stops looking bare on a large wall. The spot turns 180 degrees on its joint, so the beam can point down at a bed or up at the ring itself. A GU10 LED bulb is included. Choose black, brass, or black with a brass spot.

A single spot on a bare wall looks like an afterthought. Put a ring around it and it looks deliberate. That is what this fixture does. The metal hoop carries no light of its own; it just gives the spot a shape to sit in. The cylinder head turns 180 degrees on its joint, so the beam goes up or down. A GU10 LED bulb comes with it.
The Ring Does the Work
The hoop is open, so the wall shows through it.
When the spot is aimed down, the ring catches the edge of the beam.
That leaves a bright arc on the metal and a lit patch on the wall.

It works as a frame, giving the small spot something to belong to.

Turning the Spot
The head swings through 180 degrees on a small knuckle.
Aimed down it reads as a bedside light, aimed up it washes the wall.
The knuckle behind the head takes it through 180 degrees.
Aimed down it works as a bedside reading light.
Aimed up it throws light onto the ring and the wall above.
The head holds its position once set.
The arm and backplate do not move, so choose the direction when mounting.
A pair either side of a bed keeps the wall symmetrical.
In a hallway a single one marks a doorway without a ceiling fixture.
Three Finish Combinations
All black is the quietest and disappears against a dark wall.
All brass is the warmest and shows most on pale plaster.
All black suits a dark wall and a modern scheme.
All brass warms up a pale wall and reads more traditional.
Black with a brass spot splits the difference and shows the head clearly.
A GU10 LED bulb is included, so it works out of the box.
GU10 is a common base, so replacements are easy to find.
It is not dimmable as supplied.
It is hardwired and needs a box behind the round backplate.
At 1.8 lb it is light enough for an ordinary plasterboard fixing.
