That means the fixture is deeper in practice than the disc alone.

Measure the bulb you intend to use before deciding on a position.

A short bulb keeps the whole thing tight against the surface.

Two Sizes That Are Not Interchangeable

The small disc is 6.3 in across. The large one is 13 in across.

That is more than double, so they are different objects rather than two sizes of one.

The small one reads as a detail beside a door or along a corridor.

The large one is a feature in its own right and holds a blank wall on its own.

The large disc is also deeper, at 5.9 in against 4.7 in.

Check the size on the variant before ordering. The difference is easy to miss.

The large disc at 13 in is nearly the size of a small ceiling light.

On a wall it reads as a deliberate feature rather than a background light.

The small one disappears more easily into a corridor or a stairwell.

Two small ones often suit a space better than one large one.

Finishes and Mounting Either Way

The face comes rippled or plain. The rippled one has concentric rings pressed into it.

Lit, those rings catch the light and give the disc some depth.

Plain faces are offered in silver, gold, white, yellow and orange.

The coloured ones are glossy and read as a spot of colour on the wall.

The fixture sits flush, so it can go on a ceiling as a small flush mount light.

On a ceiling the bulb hangs below the disc, which changes the look considerably.

Metal finishes reflect the light back out, so they read brighter.

The coloured glossy faces absorb more and read softer.

On a ceiling, the disc becomes the canopy and the bulb hangs below it.

That makes it a small pendant in effect rather than a flush light.
