Bulb choice changes this fitting more than most. A clear bulb gives the sharpest starburst pattern, which is the whole point of the design. A frosted bulb softens it to a gentle shimmer and is the kinder option if the fitting hangs somewhere you will look at directly. It takes a single E27 bulb, not included, and is hardwired, so professional installation is recommended. Because the cage is open rather than enclosed, the glass bars are easy to reach for cleaning, which matters more on a crystal fitting than a plain one since dust dulls the facets quickly.
