Modern Brass Wall Sconce with Textured Glass Disc Shade

The shape here is a disc inside a disc. A shallow brass dish holds a smaller disc of textured glass, and the whole thing hangs off a curved arm. Light comes forward through the glass and also washes back onto the brass behind it. The texture in the glass scatters the light so there is no hard bright point. Choosing the Glass

Green reads strongly when lit and stays visible when the light is off.

Clear is the safer pick if the room already has a lot of colour.

Green glass is the stronger choice and carries the character of the fixture.

It reads olive when lit and darker when switched off.

Clear glass lets the brass do the talking instead.

Both use the same textured pattern, so the light behaves the same way.
