A candelabra chandelier is one of the few light fittings that works entirely as a silhouette. There is nothing to diffuse the light and nothing to hide the bulbs, so what you are buying is the shape of the ironwork and the pattern of small flames it holds. That is why it reads well against a plain wall or a tall window and gets lost in a busy, cluttered room.

Choosing four, six or eight arms

All three versions share the same 34.6 inch diameter, so arm count changes the density and the brightness rather than the footprint. Four arms give an open, airy fitting with plenty of space between the candles. Eight arms fill the same circle and read as considerably more formal.

Brightness follows the same logic, and with E14 candle bulbs each one contributes modestly. Over a dining table or a kitchen island the six-light version is the usual right answer. In a bedroom, four arms is often enough, and eight can feel like a lot of small bright points directly above a bed. Scale is the other check. At 34.6 inches across this is a large fitting, so it needs a table or an island of roughly five feet or more beneath it, or a room with enough open ceiling that the arms are not crowding a wall.

Hanging it on a chain and a sloped ceiling

The chain suspension is the practical detail that makes this fitting flexible. Chain can be shortened link by link on installation, so the drop is set precisely rather than chosen from a list, and it also lets the fitting hang straight from a sloped ceiling where a rigid rod would tilt.

That sloped-ceiling compatibility is worth noting because it rules a lot of chandeliers out. In a room with a vaulted or raked ceiling, this is one of the fittings that will actually work, and the photographs show it under exactly that kind of roofline.

E14 candle bulbs and what they should look like

The sockets are E14, the small screw base, and bulbs are not supplied. Check this before ordering, because E14 is smaller than the E26 and E27 lamps most fittings take. Candle-shaped LED lamps are the intended match, and the shape matters as much as the fitting here since the bulb is fully exposed.

Warm 2700K lamps in a candle or flame shape complete the look. Cool white bulbs will fight the traditional silhouette and make the ironwork look cheaper than it is. Keep the output modest, since eight bright exposed bulbs at eye level across a table is uncomfortable, and consider dimmable lamps with a compatible switch. The fitting is hardwired, so installation needs an electrician.
