Swing Arm Wall Sconce with an Adjustable LED Head
This sconce carries a slim cylinder head on a folding arm. The arm has two sections and a hinge in the middle. Fold it flat and it sits close to the wall. Open it out and the head reaches 22.8 in into the room. The head then tilts and turns on its own joint, so you can aim the beam up, down or sideways. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to fit. Choose a wall switch version or one with a button switch on the backplate.

A fixed wall light lands where it lands. If your book sits a foot to the left, that is your problem. This one moves. The arm folds at the middle, the head turns on its joint, and between them the light goes almost anywhere within reach of the wall. Set it over a pillow to read. Fold it back in the morning. The fixture takes up no table space at all.
How Far the Swing Arm Reaches
The arm is built in two equal sections joined by a hinge. Each section is about 11.8 in long.
Folded flat against the wall the fixture is compact. Opened out straight, the head sits 22.8 in from the backplate.
That reach clears most nightstands. Mounted above a bed, the head comes far enough forward to sit over a pillow rather than behind it.
The head itself tilts up and down and swivels left and right. So the arm sets the distance and the head sets the angle.
Reading Light Without the Table Lamp
A table lamp on a nightstand eats the surface you wanted for a book and a glass of water. This fixture is on the wall instead.
The head is a narrow cylinder, so the beam is tight. It lands on the page and not across the room.
That matters if two people share a bed. One can read while the other sleeps, with no wide spill of light.
Three colour temperatures are offered. 3000K is warm and best for reading at night. 4000K is neutral. 6000K is cool and suits a desk.
The head is small, so it does not block the wall behind it. Two of these above a headboard read as a pair of thin lines rather than as two bulky shades. That keeps a bedroom wall looking clear.
Switch Options and Fitting
The wall switch version is controlled from your room switch. Use it when the sconce is on an existing lighting circuit.
The button switch version has its own button on the backplate. Reach up and press it. This suits a spare room or a fixture wired to a permanent live.
Both versions are hardwired to a wall box. There is no plug and no trailing cord.
The LED is built in, so there is nothing to buy alongside it and no bulb to change later. The fixture is rated for indoor use only.
Fold the arm flat when the room is being cleaned or the bed is being made. It sits close enough to the wall then that nothing catches on it. Opening it out again takes one hand.
