Description
The Harvey Ceiling Lamp.
A vintage space-age UFO silhouette — polished cap (Brass or Chrome) sits atop a glowing plexiglass disc in Orange or White, hiding a milky inner globe. Pure 1970s design language, brought into a contemporary palette.
Pure 1970s, brought into now.
UFO meets milky glass globe.
The Harvey channels the space-age design movement of the late 1960s and 70s — a polished Brass or Chrome cap tops a slim adjustable rod that connects to the signature flying-saucer disc. The translucent plexiglass shade (Orange or White) wraps a milky white inner globe, giving the piece visible depth and a warm, atmospheric glow. Pairs effortlessly with mid-century modern, retro-futurist, eclectic-pop, and modern luxe interiors.
Use a flying saucer bulb for the full effect.
Flying-saucer-style E26/E27 bulb.
The white sphere visible through the shade is a flying saucer light bulb — a flat-disc Edison-style LED that completes the retro UFO aesthetic when the lamp is off. Standard pear-shaped bulbs work too, but the saucer profile is what makes the Harvey feel authentically vintage.

Quick questions.
What is a flying saucer light bulb, and is it required?
A flying saucer bulb is a flat-disc Edison-style LED bulb (E26/E27 base) shaped like a small UFO — when off, it reads like a milky white sphere floating inside the shade, completing the retro UFO aesthetic.
Not required — any standard E26/E27 LED or Edison bulb will work — but the saucer profile is what makes the Harvey feel authentically vintage when the lamp is off. Available on Amazon and most online lighting retailers.
Which colorway should I choose?
Four combinations of cap × globe:
Brass & Orange: warmest, most vintage — classic 1970s palette. Pairs with cream walls, walnut floors, leather, mid-century textiles.
Chrome & Orange: sharper, more graphic — best with grey or white walls, polished concrete, modern furniture.
Brass & White: warm and quiet — softest reading, blends into neutral palettes.
Chrome & White: cleanest, most minimalist — best for Scandi, Japandi, modern luxe interiors.
Is it dimmable?
Dimmable when paired with a dimmable LED bulb (E26/E27, including dimmable flying-saucer bulbs) and an LED-rated wall dimmer. The fixture itself has no built-in dimming.
Can the suspension rod length be adjusted?
Standard rod is 10 + 20 cm / 3.9″ + 7.9″. Total drop is extendable on request — contact support@dekorfine.com with your required drop length before placing your order.
