Modern Outdoor Wall Sconce in Rectangular Black Aluminium
A tall rectangular backplate with a slim cylindrical diffuser set off centre in front of it, so the light is thrown against the plate and reflected outward rather than glaring directly at you. The body is aluminium in black with a warm 3000K LED behind a frosted lens, rated IP54 and hardwired flat to the wall. Two sizes are offered, 8.86 and 16.73 inches tall, and a dimmable version works with a TRIAC dimmer sold separately. Coverage runs to 108 square feet.

The arrangement here is a backplate and a separate diffuser standing proud of it. Light leaving the cylinder hits the plate behind and bounces forward, which softens it considerably and keeps the bright surface out of direct view from most angles. On a wall you walk past at close range, that is the difference between a fixture that is pleasant and one you squint at.
Two Sizes and the Proportion They Suit
The smaller fixture is 8.86 inches tall and reads as a discreet marker beside a door or along a corridor. It suits positions where several are repeated and no single one should dominate, such as a run of bays along a courtyard wall or the returns either side of an entrance.
The taller 16.73 inch version is nearly twice the height and carries enough presence to stand alone on a large blank elevation. That is how it is used in most of the images here, mounted singly on a broad pillar or a stretch of stone where a small fixture would be lost. Both share the same 4.33 inch width, so only the height changes between them.
Warm Light and a High Colour Rendering Index
The LED runs at 3000K with a colour rendering index above 90. That figure is worth attention on an exterior fixture, because most outdoor lighting sits well below it and renders brick, timber and planting as flat grey-brown once the sun has gone.
Above 90 the materials keep their colour after dark. Warm 3000K light also picks up the natural tone in stone and wood rather than cooling it, which is why it is specified here in preference to the cooler temperatures often used outdoors. The frosted lens spreads the output evenly along the cylinder so there is no visible hot spot at either end of it.
Dimming, Rating and Installation
A dimmable version is offered alongside the standard non-dimmable one, working with a TRIAC dimmer that is not included. Choosing this at the point of order matters, since the non-dimmable fixture cannot be made dimmable later on. On a long facade with several fixtures, dimming is what lets the scheme be pulled back once the planting matures and reflects more light.
The rating is IP54, covering dust and splashing water. That suits a sheltered wall, a covered patio or a facade under an eave rather than a fully exposed parapet. It hardwires on 110 to 220 volts, weighs between 3.31 and 4.41 pounds by size, and wattage is 8W or 12W accordingly. The fixing pattern sits behind the backplate so no screws are visible once the sconce is mounted.
