Rechargeable Cordless Wall Sconce
A cordless wall sconce built as a long slim bar with an internal rechargeable battery, so it goes on a wall that has no wiring behind it at all. Fixing is screws or adhesive and takes minutes. A wireless remote and a touch sensor both handle dimming and step through warm, neutral and cool white, and an auto-shutoff timer stops it draining overnight. Three lengths run from 27 to 50 inches in black and gold, gold, or nickel and gold, with a 3.3 foot USB cable supplied.

The reason most picture lights never get fitted is not the fixture, it is the cable. Getting mains power to the middle of a wall behind a painting means chasing plaster or accepting a visible flex down to a socket. A battery inside the fitting removes that decision entirely, which is why cordless sconces have gone from a novelty to the default answer above artwork and mirrors.
Where a Cordless Wall Sconce Makes Sense
Rented homes are the obvious case, because adhesive mounting means no holes and nothing to make good on the way out. Solid masonry walls are the less obvious one - chasing a cable into brick or concrete is a serious job, and a battery fitting sidesteps it for the price of remembering to charge it.
The runtime is the constraint to plan around. Up to four hours per charge is generous for something switched on for an evening and inadequate for a light you want on all day. Treat it as an accent or a picture light rather than a primary room light, and the four hour figure stops being a limitation.
Mounting Options and Choosing a Length
Screws and adhesive are both supported and they suit different situations. Adhesive is quick and reversible on smooth painted plaster, and it is the right answer in a rental. Screws are the sensible choice on textured surfaces, on the longer 50 inch units, or anywhere the fitting will be taken down often for charging.
Match the length to what it is lighting rather than to the wall. Above a picture, a fixture roughly two thirds to three quarters of the frame width lights the canvas evenly without overshooting the edges. Over a bathroom mirror or a vanity, closer to the full width of the mirror is usually better because you want even light across a face.
Remote, Touch Dimming and Colour Settings
Two controls are provided and both are useful. The touch sensor on the fitting is quicker when you are standing next to it, and the wireless remote matters when the sconce is high on a wall or behind furniture where reaching up is awkward. The auto-shutoff timer is the one that protects the battery from a light left on by accident.
Three colour modes are built in. Warm white at 3000K flatters oil paintings, timber frames and skin tones, so it is the default above artwork and mirrors. The 4000K neutral setting is more accurate for photographs and prints where colour fidelity matters. The 6000K cool setting is best kept for task use, as it reads cold against most interior finishes.
