Bulb Base And Voltage Options

The fitting accepts an E12 or E14 base bulb and works with LED, incandescent or fluorescent types. No bulb is supplied. Since the fabric shade conceals the bulb, a plain warm white LED is the sensible default and there is nothing to gain from a decorative filament.

One point to check carefully at the ordering stage: this fixture is offered with a voltage option, either 110V to 120V or 220V to 240V. For a United States installation, select the 110V to 120V variant. The 220V to 240V variant is not suitable for a standard United States circuit, and because voltage is a selectable option rather than a fixed specification, it is possible to order the wrong one. Confirm the selection before the order is placed.

Wiring And Placement

The sconce is hardwired and the specification confirms there is no switch on the fixture, so it runs from a wall switch on the circuit. If it is going beside a bed, that is worth planning for at the wiring stage rather than discovering afterwards.

The downward pool of light makes this a good reading sconce beside a chair or a bed, and the photography shows it used that way as well as along a plain hallway. Mounted a little above shoulder height when seated, the shade stays out of the line of sight and the light lands where a book would be.

No ingress protection rating is given, so treat this as an indoor fitting only. A fabric shade in particular does not belong anywhere it will get damp, since fabric marks and holds moisture in a way glass and metal do not.
