Solar Outdoor Wall Light with Up and Down LED Beams
A wall light with the solar panel built into its sloped top face, so there is no separate collector to mount and no cable to run. LEDs at the front throw beams up and down the wall, and a single button on the underside switches it on and off. The housing is ABS with a PMMA lens, rated IP65 against dust and rain, and it puts out warm white 3000K light across 32 to 108 square feet. Five body styles suit eaves, fences, posts and open wall runs.

Solar exterior lighting has a reputation for being dim and short lived, most of it earned by fixtures with a tiny panel glued to the top of a plastic stake. The difference here is proportion: the panel is the whole upper surface of the fixture, angled to catch the sun through the middle of the day, feeding two small LEDs rather than trying to light a driveway. Matching a modest output to a generous collector is what makes solar work.
No Wiring, and What That Changes
The practical appeal is that a solar fixture can go where no circuit exists. Fence posts, boundary walls, garden stores and gateways are all a long way from a spur, and running armoured cable to them costs far more than the light itself.
That freedom comes with a trade. Output depends on what the panel collected during the day, so a north facing wall or a spot under a tree canopy will underperform. Mount it where it gets several hours of direct sun and it behaves predictably; mount it in permanent shade and no amount of battery capacity will save it.
Five Body Styles for Different Positions
The eaves and fences styles throw light downward only, which suits a fixture mounted high on a soffit or along the top rail of a fence where an upward beam would be wasted against the sky. Concentrating the whole output downward also makes the most of a limited solar charge.
The triangle, six light and eight light styles all run up and down, giving the twin wedge pattern shown in the images. The six and eight light versions split the output across more lenses for a wider, softer spread; the triangle keeps it tight and directional against a flat wall.
ABS Housing, IP65 and Everyday Use
The body is ABS with a PMMA lens rather than cast metal, which keeps the weight on the fixings low and avoids the corrosion that catches steel fittings near the coast. IP65 covers dust and driven rain, so the fixture can sit on an exposed wall rather than needing an eave.
A single button on the underside handles on and off, held for three seconds. Warm white at 3000K is the only colour temperature and it is the right one for this job, reading as lamplight against render and timber rather than the blue-white that cheap solar lights usually produce. The fixture weighs 4.41 pounds, so fixings should be driven into a post or masonry rather than fence boarding alone.
