Art Deco Milk Glass Pendant Light White Geometric Shade

Milk glass is the reason this pendant works. It is glass with enough opacity to hide the bulb completely, so instead of a bright point behind a shade you get the whole surface of the shade glowing evenly. That is a softer and more forgiving light than clear glass gives, and it is why milk glass fittings turn up over kitchen islands and dining tables far more often than clear ones.

Seven Geometric Pendant Light Shapes

Seven shade silhouettes are offered. The photography shows several of them in place: a ringed globe with a flat collar around its widest point, a stepped acorn that narrows in tiers toward the top, and a rounded schoolhouse profile. All of them share the same white milk glass and the same black cord and canopy, so a mixed run of different shapes still reads as one set.

That consistency of hardware is worth planning around. Over a long island, three of the same shape gives a formal, repeated rhythm; three different shapes at the same height gives a collected look without the fittings clashing, because the glass and the metal match throughout.

Cord Length And Hanging Height

The cord is adjustable up to 59.1 inches, which is a little under five feet. Over a kitchen island the usual target is 30 to 36 inches between the countertop and the bottom of the shade, and over a dining table 28 to 34 inches above the tabletop. On a standard eight foot ceiling this cord length gives plenty of adjustment for either.

On a higher ceiling, measure before ordering. Cords can normally be shortened at installation but not lengthened, so the 59 inch figure is a ceiling on the drop rather than a target to aim for.

Bulbs, Wattage And Dimming

The fixture takes an E26 bulb rated to a maximum of 40 watts and no bulb is included. Because the milk glass hides the bulb, there is nothing to gain from a decorative filament bulb here. A plain warm white LED at around 2700 kelvin will give the period look at a low running cost, and the shape of the bulb is irrelevant behind opaque glass.

The specification records the control method as non intelligent, and the fixture is not listed as dimmable. If you want to vary the level over a dining table, plan for a dimmable bulb on a compatible dimmer circuit and treat that as a change to the circuit rather than a feature of this fitting.
