Dimming also stretches the charge. Running the bar at a lower level for ambient light rather than full output is the simplest way to get more days between charges, which is the trade-off every cordless fixture asks you to make. The body is aluminium and iron and is not water resistant, so keep it to dry indoor cupboards and counters rather than a bathroom or a garage wall.
